Thursday Network 2012 Annual Blanket and Toiletry Drive, Monday January 16

Jan 13, 2012

Every year during the holiday season, GWUL's Thursday Network (young professionals auxiliary) collects new or gently used blankets and toiletries for the homeless community of Washington, DC. These items bring comfort to homeless individuals and help them to stay warm during the cold winter months.

We ask that Thursday Network members, friends and supporters participate by collecting blankets and personal toiletry items. Collection boxes will be located throughout GWUL headquarters. Then join us on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day  on January 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at GWUL headquarters, 2901 14th Street, NW,  to assemble the donated items. We will then split into teams and distribute the blankets and toiletries to homeless individuals throughout Washington, DC.

Note: Thursday Network is encouraging attendees to bring snacks.
