
The Future Leaders in Mobility Program is a week-long experiential
program hosted by Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA)
in partnership with the Greater Washington Urban League.
Twenty rising juniors and seniors in high school will participate
in interactive presentations and activities involving brands and
departments, along with key topics that influence transportation
today. In this immersive program, participating students
will engage in and observe the various exciting automotive
career paths such as manufacturing, engineering, marketing,
public relations, finance and dealership operations.
The program will run from August 16-20, 2021
at the VWGoA U.S. Headquarters in Herndon, VA.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Be a rising high school junior or senior
(graduating class of 2022 or 2023)
– Be from a historically underserved and vulnerable population
– Be a permanent resident in the District of Columbia; Montgomery
County, MD; Prince George’s County, MD; or Northern Virginia
– Demonstrate an interest in the automotive industry
