What words come to mind or what do you feel when you think about money? Do you feel like you have a good relationship with money? In this session of our GWUL FEC Winter Spark Series our Financial Therapist will take you through the process to uncover the reasons behind your financial habits. Part 1 will focus on helping make the connection between how our past traumas show up in our current spending and financial decision making. This session will also shed light on the fact that you are not alone, and financial trauma is more common than you may think.
The new Financial Empowerment Center at the Greater Washington Urban League is hosting a "Spark Series" of classes to put you in the driver's seat to building a sound financial future for you and your family. Our series of classes, led by industry experts, will cover a range of topics from the impact of financial stress on your brain to designing your financial freedom plan. The classes are designed to be taken as a series as each one builds upon the material from the class before it. We encourage you to take all the classes in the series. Upon completion of the "Spark Series" you will be eligible to take advantage of our financial therapy and financial coaching sessions at no cost to you. You will also be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card!
Our highly interactive classes are designed to include any learner at any level. At no charge but with a commitment to invest in yourself, you will leave with a pathway to take control of your financial future and the knowledge to build an empowering relationship with money.
All classes will be held online via webinar. The GWUL FEC Spark Series Schedule is as follows:
