About the event
There’s quite a bit of student loan information out there these days, yet resources particular to Parent PLUS borrowers remains wanting. These loans, while federal student loans, have their own unique set of rules that are often not made transparent to borrowers. If you have Parent PLUS loans, or are helping someone pay Parent PLUS loans, you know that the needs and financial situations of Parent PLUS borrowers are unique as compared to the more “traditional” student borrower. This session will explain the repayment options available to Parent PLUS borrowers, strategies (including for those getting ready or already retired) and how such loans can qualify for certain forgiveness programs.
The Financial Empowerment Center at the Greater Washington Urban League has partnered with The Institute of Student Loan Advisors (TISLA) to bring you valuable information on how to manage your student loan debt once the waivers expire. This webinar is the second of a four-part series in student loan debt management. The remaining sessions in our series will cover the following student loan topics.
