About the event
The Greater Washington Urban League's Entrepreneurship Center and TD Bank will highlight local caterers and the importance of pivoting to business online. We will also highlight best practices for businesses using COVID-19 operational procedures for food businesses. For guests, there will be caterers on the outdoor patio, who will give away free pre-packaged samples of one special dish that they are known for.
After the socially distanced meet & greet, the event will kick off with a presentation from Blythe Patenaude who will provide restaurants and caterers with information about complying with the DC Regulations and understanding the importance of emergency management procedures.
Next DMV Black Restaurant Week co-founder, Furard Tate, will discuss COVID-19 guidelines for caterers from the National Restaurant Association. Following Furard's discussion, Digital Marketing Strategist Jennene Biggins of J Biggins Consulting will conduct a presentation on "How to Take Your Business Online." You can check out her website about her curriculum titled "Holiday Hustle."
We'll then have closing remarks and give away catering COVID-19 supply kit vouchers, which include 1-digital thermometer, tracking logbook, hand sanitizers, gloves, and face masks. (Package can be picked up at Culture Cafe) . Space is limited. Reserve your spot today!
