 <title>Important Notice: Homebuyer Program Partially Suspended</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Greater Washington Urban League has a grant agreement with the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development to administer the D.C. Homebuyer Program.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;HPAP provides up to $77,000 in down payment and closing costs assistance in the form of a second trust loan for low and moderate-income first-time homebuyers in the District of Columbia.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Small Business Energy Efficiency Retrofits</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The D.C. Energy Office provided $123,318 to help small businesses identify and install energy conservation measures in their facilities. Energy audits were conducted on 35 small businesses to determine the number, types and most cost-effective energy efficient measures to install. The audits also estimated the energy and financial saving available, and provided energy usage&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Residential Energy Efficiency Retrofit</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Low-income residents in the District of Columbia received cost saving energy devices through the League’s Residential Energy Efficiency Retrofit program, underwritten with  funding from the Department of Energy.  <title>Rental Assistance</title>

 <description>&lt;h2&gt;Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program&lt;/h2&gt; &lt;p&gt;In 2008, the Tenant Based Rental Assistant Program paid the rents, late fees and legal fees for 300 individuals and families living with HIV and AIDS in the District, Prince George’s, Calvert and Charles Counties in Maryland. The D.C. Department of Health provides funding for the program, which is administered by the Housing Division.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Qualified HPAP applicants can receive up to $44,000 in financial assistance to purchase single-family houses, condominiums and cooperative apartments. HPAP funds can be used for down payment and/or closing costs.&lt;/p&gt;
