Paul E. Peterson and Martin R. West are mistaken about the National Urban League’s position on charter schools. The National Urban League is working cooperatively with the Obama Administration and Education Secretary Arne Duncan to craft an educational reform plan that will guarantee equal educational opportunities for every child in the United States.

We have a new free opportunity for 50 teen athletes (boys and girls) ages 15 – 18 to participate in a one-day PROFORMANCE CLINIC on Sunday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fairfax High School. The clinic will feature speed and agility training by D1 Sports Training.

The Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL), a community partner with the Old Spice Chris Cooley Youth Football Camp in partnership with ProCamps and the Jason Taylor Foundation, announces a scholarship for boys and girls ages 7 to 14. Only a few slots remain for the two-day camp, which will be held June 13 – 14 at Fairfax High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
