A Better Transportation System: The Eleven Seat Bicycle

I have an idea for a better transportation system for humans as well as the environment. It is based on the design of an eleven seat bicycle. I think that if everybody comes together in a group we can start a bicycling movement and decrease auto-related deaths and pollution in Washington D.C. Getting more people onto bikes would also decrease the rate of asthma attacks significantly because the air would be cleaner.

This is how my idea would work. I would build a system of 11-seat bicycle cabs. These bicycle cabs would pick up riders at particular locations at scheduled times. People would pay to peddle to their destinations. Youth drivers would be employed as transportation leaders. At the end of the day the bikes would be taken to a big bicycle lot. There would be a lot of bikes in this new system and air pump stations on different streets would replace many gas stations.

My design would be risk free and good for the environment. It would greatly reduce air, sound and water pollution. This new transportation system would also take up less space, provide more jobs for youth, and decrease the death rate.
