A Transportation System That Will Better the Environment

A transportation system in this area that would better the environment would not include cars. It would include a bus and subway system similar to the one that we now have. But would be more convenient and within easy reach of all of the people. Once a person got off of the subway, that person would only walk a short distance to get to a bus stop. This would make using the subway convenient and comfortable for people who are sick, young, elderly, or who have trouble walking long distances.

The way that the present subway system is designed in this area it leaves many people with too great of a distance to walk once they get off the subway. That is why many people prefer to drive their private cars. The new transportation system needs to be attractive so that people will want to ride it and feel as if they are missing something if they do not.

The trains and buses must be thoroughly checked and in proper working order so that they give off less pollution. Some devices would need to be installed so that the buses do not leave a trail of black smoke behind as they pull off from a bus stop. The environment would be better if we have a transportation system that goes into every neighborhood and is convenient, comfortable, and safe for all. This would encourage more people to use public transportation. Most important is that we need cleaner bus fuels so that they give off less pollution.
