My goodness gracious alive, I thought. Couldn't some of those people be car pooling; or better yet, using public transportation? Why not change the system around so everyone would take public transportation? Limiting the amount of cars and increasing the amount of buses could help the problem. One bus can hold up to 54 people sitting down, but it would take almost eleven cars to do the same. The train holds 64 people per car.
People should be given color coded cards for certain days of the week. About 3.5 days should be allowed per family to drive per week. There should also be a two person minimum per car at all times. Each person should be allowed a thirty (30) minute grace period if only one person occupies the car. Leeway time would be allowed to pick a person up or to run an errand.
A device will be placed in the passenger seat determining when someone sits in the seat. It should the trigger the color device found in the right upper hand corner of the windshield. If no one is sitting in the passenger seat when the car is turned on, the light automatically turns off and then goes on when someone sits in the seat. The counter sends messages when the car is turned on and no one is sitting in the passenger seat. It also sends messages after 30 minutes when no one has sat in the seat. The light blinks when the car is subject to tickets for moving violations.
With this new theory to control the traffic and air pollution, it would help the air stay clean and fresh.
