Changing Transportation

Everyone uses transportation to get to their jobs, schools, and other places. Transportation is one of the most important issues in the world and for health reasons we need to change our way of thinking about it.

Only five percent of the people in the United States walk to work. Twenty five percent ride buses to work. Sixty five percent of the people in the United States drive their cars to work. The car is starting to be a problem because all of the smog and pollution that comes from the car's exhaust. Thousands of people are dying due to the pollution from cars.

Cars create other problems, too. Fifty five percent of downtown Washington, D. C. is used for parking lots for cars. I believe that people should start riding bikes to work instead of driving their cars. We could solve a lot of problems that way.
