The Job Search Center (JSC) is designed to provide a
convenient and cost effective vehicle to assist metropolitan area employers meet their
employment needs and give individuals access to jobs through a self-paced search process
and use of its computerized client database. Servicing over 300 clients annually, services
vary according to client need and include resume preparation, job counseling, occupational
assessments, interviewing techniques, job search and career counseling. Some center
services are offered free of charge with current GWUL membership;
others are fee based. An additional 800 professionals gain access to employment annually
at the "Diversity Recruiting Conference and Job Fair" held each February. The
center also serves as the primary referral source for minority candidates to both the
Lendman Group and the Professional Exchange.
